Description

MXenes are a class of layered materials made from the precursor MAXene by removing the A element. Thus, they are named MXenes and they have a similar structure to graphene and other 2D layers. The precursor, Nb2AlC, is a member of MAX phases, which is a family of ternary carbide or nitride with the formula Mn+1AXn, where M is a transition metal, A is the main-group element, and X is C. We use our patent pending formula NaF-HCl solution etching process. Special care is given to reducing the etching rate and eliminating secondary MAX phases in order that 100% pure, perfectly layered, and purity higher than 99.999% can be achieved. The entire process starts from the precursor Nb2AlC and ends with Nb2C after pulsed NaF-HCl etching process. These MXenes have many important applications in battery, storage, catalysis, magnetism, and electronics. Each order contains 250mg of Nb2C vdW crystallites.
